Alia Jamal is the founder of doubleshot, the PR agency that gets people talking about food & drinks, both in bars and at home.
Alia has over 18 years of unique communications experience in the sector and the network of media contacts, influencers and industry connections that come with it.
Her experience in the drinks sector varies with global companies including Pernod Ricard, Beam Suntory and Bacardi as well as national challenger brands such as The Duppy Share, East London Liquor Company, Salcombe Gin and Compass Box.
ANDY NEWCOMBE FOUNDER / DIRECTOR
For over twenty years, Andy has worked with a vast range of super premium and luxury drinks brands to create high end consumer focused campaigns and creative solutions.
Andy has leant his creative and strategic skills to an array of varied projects for global spirits giants Diageo, Bacardi, Pernod Ricard, and William Grant & sons. His experience and focus ranging from on trade and consumer marketing and digital comms, to brand strategy and product design & development.
Andy’s passion for global cocktail culture has seen him working and collaborating with some of the top tier bars in the world such as The Connaught, The Artesian at the Langham, and The American Bar at the Savoy.
JOSH BLACK SAKARI BrAND CONSULTANT
Josh Black is bartender and consultant with almost a decade in the industry. He was part of the opening team at Silverleaf and now manages the drinks development programme at DRAM whilst consulting on other projects.
In 2022 Josh was the Suntory DOJO Champion and in 2023 the Suntory DOJO mentor and judge. In 2024 he won the Jamesons Global competition.
Josh has worked under Ueno-San at Bar High Five in Ginza, Tokyo for four weeks where he was immersed in the culture and craft and fell in love with the country, the people and the sake!
Sake, for Josh is one of the most interesting and unique beverages given its broad variety and unique flavour profiles.
